Fizik Antares Versus Evo R3 Adaptive - 3D-Printed Saddle
Fizik Antares Versus Evo R3 Adaptive - 3D-Printed Saddle
A functional bicycle saddle with revolutionary 3D printed padding that provides seamlessly engineered zoned cushioning.
3D printing filling
The evolution of digital 3D printing technology has allowed Fizik to develop a new saddle that is not restricted by traditional production methods and materials. Adaptive saddle padding uses Carbon's revolutionary digital light synthesis technology. Digital photosynthesis is an additive manufacturing process that utilizes digital UV light projection, oxygen-permeable optics, and programmable liquid resins to produce parts with superior mechanical properties, resolution, and surface finishes.
Customized partition buffering
Using Carbon technology, biomechanists and engineers have unprecedented possibilities: to design and manufacture multiple functional zones within the saddle, individually adjusting the specific mechanical properties of each zone. Each key functional area is engineered with unique cushioning and mechanical response, gradually and seamlessly connecting within the same padding.
Laboratory testing and road validation
Tested by professional cyclists and amateur cyclists in Fizik laboratories and on the road. At every stage of development, each iteration is carefully tested. Fizik paid special attention to the impact of different bicycle geometries, riding positions and riding styles on pressure distribution.
From idea to scalable production
With this unique combination of processes and materials, Fizik is able to develop products five times faster, creating and field-testing hundreds of versions. This technology can be applied to mass production, revolutionizing the traditional manufacturing process, speeding up and skipping all intermediate stages.
Lasting performance
This saddle is very easy to clean. Even if you encounter the dirtiest mud, just rinse with water. Whatever gets in, can get out. We put it through the most rigorous testing, simulating accelerated aging, UV aging and abrasion resistance, and follow strict testing protocols.
Adaptive: Use Carbon® Digital Light Synthesis™ 3D printing technology to provide seamless engineering area buffering.
Versus Evo: Provides pressure relief targeted at soft tissue areas with a degree of flexibility and a full channel design.
R3: Composed of a carbon fiber reinforced nylon shell that meets riding requirements and a Kium hollow track with a high strength-to-weight ratio.
Intended use: road racing
Concepts: This is a product of fizik Concepts, an interdisciplinary collaboration of leading industry experts and academics that conducts research and analysis on technology, design, physiology and bike fit to find ways to improve bike performance.
